An inflammation around the tooth

Periodontitis often begins slowly. Bacteria build up as plaque and excrete metabolic products which attack the teeth and gums. Bleeding gums can be one of the first signs. Red or swollen gums are also indicators.

Therapeutic treatment

An X-ray of the teeth helps to check their bone structures. With a thorough cleaning of the tooth surface with modern ultrasound devices, manual and chemical therapy we remove the bacteria in the gingival pockets. In most cases the inflammation is stopped. In some cases the germs have to be treated with antibiotics. We’ll be pleased to advise you.

Warning: Periodontitis is a contagious infection.
